Caroline saves the day!

Unfortunately our plan for our October meeting was thwarted yet again by Covid when Hattie and Flo had to cancel their talk at two day’s notice. We were all very disappointed of course but our member Caroline stepped in to lead a very enjoyable ‘Teabag folding’ workshop.

A craft developed by people using the square teabag packets, Caroline brought in lots of examples of the clever effects you can create. She then demonstrated a few simple folds that magically created a Christmas tree form that we could mount onto cards for Christmas. There was a huge selection of interesting paper squares for us to choose from and she even provided packets of festive sequins for us to add finishing touches. After a happy hour of concentration, laughter and creativity most of us had successfully produced something to take home.

Delicious refreshments from Lesley and Joyce were very welcome, followed by the usual raffle, flower of the month and a special thank you to our committee member, Andrea as it was her last meeting as she has moved away.

A huge thank you to Caroline for stepping in at such short notice and providing such an enjoyable activity.
