Anyone Can Draw A Tiger
Everyone arrived at the June meeting saying ‘I certainly can’t draw a tiger so this will be interesting.’ However, in no time at all Heather Wylde had handed out pictures of tigers, paper and 2B pencils and reassured us that everyone would take home something to be proud of. A professional illustrator herself she had a no nonsense approach to any doubters, telling us to start in the centre and to simply copy the black shapes using gentle strokes that didn’t dent the paper. Very quickly the tigers started to emerge, each one slightly different but undoubtedly tigers. At first there was an aura of quiet concentration despite Heather’s encouragement to relax and then a definite fizz of relief as everyone gradually discovered that they were rather proud of their results!
Elizabeth and Chris W provided delicious refreshments which were well received after so much concentration before we did notices and the raffle.
