Resolution Evening

Our May meeting was our regular resolution meeting where we usually discuss a number of resolutions and decide what we would like to go forward. This evening, however we were asked to consider a single resolution - Clean Rivers for People and Wildlife. Fiona Edgington came to lead us in our lively discussion about this issue which is regularly in the news at the moment. Members covered everything from wet wipes to oil spillage and learned that of the 600 designated bathing waters in England only two have passed safety tests.

After the discussion the committee served cheese and wine which was enjoyed by all and there was a very successful, garden themed sales table with a great selection of donations. To round off the evening the flower of the month was won by Sue P and birthday posies were handed out.
