Beeswax Candle Making

Feeling really back into routine and with increasingly more members feeling able to return to our meetings the hall was busy for this creative evening where Brian Graham led us in an entertaining beeswax candle making workshop. Each of us had a selection of sheets of beeswax and wicks. Starting with the smallest, we learned the technique for rolling the sheets into straight candles which, hopefully, stood up straight and firm. With a hush of concentration to start with we all got the hang of it pretty quickly and then moved onto larger and multiple layered versions. Everyone seemed pretty pleased with their results!

Delicious refreshments were provided by Vanessa and Rachel before the raffle and notices and we had a draw for the flower of the month.
