We’re Back!

Back to a regular meeting in the hall at last with restrictions lifted, we opened all the windows wide and welcomed all our members back. Sadly our speaker had to cancel but the committee hosted a social evening, serving tea and cakes to members while they chatted and caught up on all their news. We had a few notices around getting us all back into the swing of things, there was a raffle and our regular flower of the month was won by Elizabeth with a beautiful pink rose.

There were two important moments in the evening. Firstly, we paused for a quiet moment to remember four of our greatly missed members who had sadly passed away since our last meeting 18 months ago. Secondly, we unveiled our Centenary craft project that is finally hanging in it’s place in the hall - a patchwork of teacups created by each of our members at the time of our centenary in 2019. The combination of creation time and Covid 19 means it has taken two years to complete the project which will be a great reminder of an important moment in the history of Stedham WI.
